Rachel grew up on the East End of LI. Her summer days were spent boating with her parents and siblings. When not on a powerboat she would sail with her sister from Orient Harbor, out to Greenport, Shelter Island and Long Beach. After College, she spent two years sailing in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Eastern seaboard, and the Med. She also had the opportunity to do transatlantic crossing from Gibraltor to Antiqua on a 105’ sloop. "Such a wonderful experience – Clear skies, blue water, fair winds, such peacefulness, bright stars at night. Spectacular." In the late 80’s she returned to the North Fork and had a family. Their weekends were spent boating locally or cruising to Block Island, Essex, CT, Newport, and Cuttyhunk. Her sons also have an appreciation for being on the water and getting out fishing when they can. Her passion was sailing, theirs is fishing, and they still go out to this day. Not certain what to do next, Rachel launched a vision of how she would like her work environment to feel and decided to get her USCG Captain’s License. Miraculously, Strong’s Marine reached out to her. It was time for a change and she recognized how much she enjoyed boating, so it was time to get back to the marine industry in some way. Using her administrative skills from my previous job and knowledge of boating, Strong's seemed like a great fit. Rachel been with Strong’s Marine for 15 years now, meeting great people and helping families find the right boat for their boating lifestyle and dreams. Rachel enjoys assisting her clients as they move up through the various brands and models we offer. Rachel says, "One constant in life is change and that can go for your boating needs as well."
